Recovery socks
The Strides are the cheapest unit in the family and the one with the fewest layers, by decision rather than by compromise. There is no thermal layer in them. Cold at the foot is slow, the power to drive a Peltier will not fit in an ankle-sized cell, and the two remaining layers are the ones that matter at that distance.
The sole is a good sensing surface for the same reason the palm is: a high density of sweat glands and firm, repeatable contact. The Achilles panel and the plantar arch carry the coil.
No thermal layer by design — the feet get photonic and magnetic only, which keeps the power budget inside an ankle-sized cell.
Architecture
What is in it
ORRA Strides carries 4 functional layers. Every named part is a real manufacturer part number, chosen once for the family and reused, so one qualification covers every unit that uses it.
Coil weave in the Achilles panel and the plantar arch
Sole-mounted flexible LED membrane
660 nm / 810 nm across the plantar surface
Plantar bio-impedance contacts
Ankle collar module
| Reaches | Worn or held | Calibration | Cost concept |

Honest position
What we are not saying
ORRA Strides is a general wellness concept. It is not a medical device, it has not been evaluated by the FDA, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. No unit has been manufactured, no certification listed on this site is held, and no human data of any kind exists.
The concept retail price of $199 is a design target set against a bill of materials. It is not an offer and there is nothing to buy.
