Structured cap
The Dome is the Core's stack moved onto the head, which is both the most obvious extension and the least finished one. Coils across the crown, a light liner underneath, a thermal band at the forehead where the temples are, and the control module on the back so the cap can go in a wash.
The open question is geometry. Field strength falls off with the cube of distance for a dipole, and the skull is thicker and less uniform than a palm. Nothing on this page should be read as a claim that a specific field reaches a specific cortical depth. That is the modelling job this SKU is waiting on.
The crown coils and the forehead thermal band are drawn. Transcranial field geometry has not been modelled and is the open engineering question for this SKU.
Architecture
What is in it
ORRA Dome carries 5 functional layers. Every named part is a real manufacturer part number, chosen once for the family and reused, so one qualification covers every unit that uses it.
Miniaturised Litz coils distributed across the crown panel
Flexible LED liner — 6x 660 nm, 6x 810 nm
Sealed in ISO 10993 class silicone
Flexible Peltier band, TI DRV8833 driver
10 degC for 3 s at the temples
MAX30001 bio-impedance sweatband + Bosch BMI270 IMU
Reads skin resistance and sweat salinity to set output
Detachable rear module — nRF52840, BQ25895, 2500 mAh
Comes off so the cap can be washed
| Reaches | Worn or held | Calibration | Cost concept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cerebral cortex (surface), Supraorbital / temporal | Worn | Bio-impedance, before every session | $125 at 100-unit run |

Everything above was read off one working drawing. It is published here whole, annotations included, so the specification and its source can be checked against each other rather than taken on trust.
Honest position
What we are not saying
ORRA Dome is a general wellness concept. It is not a medical device, it has not been evaluated by the FDA, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. No unit has been manufactured, no certification listed on this site is held, and no human data of any kind exists.
The concept retail price of $399 is a design target set against a bill of materials. It is not an offer and there is nothing to buy.
